I dragged two Folders to my desktop and a bookmarked link from each appeared as a shortcut that I am now unable to remove. Dragging it to my recycle bin or pressing delete does not work and I am unsure as to what I can change in their Properties to fix the issue; changing the names does not work either. Did you try to start the computer in Windows Safe Mode with Networking and try to force delete them that way?
