Have been using t/bird for a year. To my amazement a whole section of emails have disappeared from folders and subfolders. Just this one folder hierachy the folders are still there but emails all gone! Highly valuable emails, some were backed up but not all. Totally perplexed. In View/Threads I have got All ticked. Emails in a fifty other folders are all there and okay. Any advice/help very much appreciated thank you ... Jeff, Poole UK

Sometimes the index gets wonky. Try right clicking the folder and selecting properties and then repair.

Thanks Matt but I have tried that properties/repair - no change. It's very odd - five folders (out of about sixty in t/bird) with lengthy emails on an international issue and all have disappeared. Many were sent to all MPs and committees. I do wonder if I have been hacked. I don't know how possible that would be - t/bird is on Linux Mint. I did have some backups so I guess will just have to accept emails gone ... many thanks ... jeff
