when trying to save image files ( i do that a lot ) and I click download this file save location changes from the where the previous file was downloaded. This is not site specific and really a bothersome nuisance. I asked about this before and a suggestion by someone fixed it but I can't find that post.

I have tried both "always ask" and "Download to" and it continues with both. it has been a mild irritation but is rapidly becoming a REAL nuisance. I had this problem with a different version of FF and someone on this forum gave me instruction as to how to "fix' it that involved editing a parameter in the about:config settings file. Something like "remember.last.download " or something similar. I can't find it and it may have been a "key" that had to be manually constructed . ANY info to fix this would be appreciated .

In the past FF has "remembered" your last download directory until you needed to create a new folder or download to a different directory. What made this change in FF 70 ? AND , ..... Why ????
