I want two separate icons, one for each profile I run.

I am running Firefox Quantum version 62 on a Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS.

One copy of Firefox is barebones and the other runs all kinds of add-ons, extensions and preference settings etc.

At the moment when I execute Firefox, the Profile Manager opens, I need to select which profile I want to use.

I want two separate icons, one ofr each profile, bypassing the Profile Manager.

What are the "Target" commands that will launch each?

You didn't mention that you wanted to use both profiles at the same time because otherwise I would have added this. Note that you can get problems when you use -no-remote and try to open an external link i the default browser via a double-click. You can't open an external link in a Firefox instance that is started via -no-remote and if you are using different Firefox versions then make sure that the profile that the default browser uses is selected as the default in the Profile Manager and maybe let Firefox also ask what profile to use to avoid corruption a profile by starting it with the wrong Firefox version.

You can add -P "<profile-name>" to the target field in the Firefox desktop shortcut to specify what profile to use.

Almost - Cor El

It turns out you also need to add -no-remote after your sequence.

If you do not do that, then you cannot open both at the same time with the different profiles. Only one profile will appear.

Thanks though.

cor-el is very familiar with -no-remote but you didn't mention wanting to run the profiles simultaneously in your question.
