When The app launches or when it's told to send / receive, the app says it is downloading 10 messages but only 5 show up in the inbox (the actual numbers are for example only). The extra emails do not appear to be in the junk folder. The two accounts are: @verizion and @netzero. Where are the other emails going? I've looked in all the local folders. Any help truly appreciated.

I accidentally deleted my Thunderbird trash folder while deleting messages. How do I restore the folder (or subscribe)?

...The deleted folder isn't in my windows Recycle Bin.

Cox is our internet provider, and offers 5 email addresses, which we use. Now the email is 'migrating' to yahoomail. We keep the same e-dresses but establish a new password. I would like to keep all mail downloading to Thunderbird - the option seems to be logging on/off yahoo for each address otherwise. Neither Cox nor Yahoo is helpful, though I've searched through the available information. Any suggestions? TBH, I don't remember exactly how I set up all of the email addresses and passwords when I first started using Thunderbird, which also downloads my gmail and ancient yahoo-addressed mail. Any help desperately appreciated!

Emails have stopped coming in to in box. Email works OK on Iphone with Gmail. When I send from account I get this message.

"Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-petermillward441@gmail.com."

Thunderbird ściąga mi cały czas pocztę i dubluje. Zapycha mi komputer. WIem, ze mam skrzynkę 50Gb a na dyzku mam prawie 200 Gb w pliku, wg mnie ściąga raz na jakiś czas pocztę. Co mam zrobić? Arek

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

In How to Move Address Books and Filters to Another PC , I asked "How do I move all my message filters and address books from my Windows desktop PC to my Windows laptop?"

The solution was complicated. Here's a better, faster one:

Just copy the whole Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

Zip it with 7-zip using minimal compression, copy it to a portable hard drive or thumb drive, rename the existing Thunderbird folder on the laptop to Thunderbird.bak, and unzip the new Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

I had previously copied the Thunderbird folder directly to the portable drive, but that takes hours because of all the little files. 7-zip is faster.

Using Thunderbird version 115.11.1 (32-bit), I cannot set up my Gmail account. I've tried all tips and suggestions: Accepted cookies, OAuth2 authentication in both IMAP and SMTP, removed saved password, but still got the message: "probably wrong configuration, username or password". At start, enter my name and Gmail address, leave the password blank and click "Done" I don't see any sign of "Sign in with your Google account" as I have read in several places. Following installation of the 32 bit version of Thunderbird 128.0b on 12 June 2024 the content of all emails in the Inbox which existed at that date - and back to 28th September 2021 - would not display at all.

Emails in the Drafts and Sent areas were unaffected.

Emails received since 12th June are displaying normally - as are e-mails dated prior to 28th September 2021.

I have re-indexed the Inbox with no improvement.

The INBOX e-mails show quite normally in Windows Mail -which I only use on my laptop.

I keep getting an error message saying that I can't send emails due to being over the daily allowed threshold? I also am not really happy with this new updated version and wondered how I can go back to the previous one? I am unable now to set up my email page like it was before and can't get "folder, subject and from" headers on my email page? Thank you.

Been using Thunderbird for 20 years but never had this issue. I might have pressed some keyboard shortcut wrongly?

My inbox does not show any message, even though there are two of them (and more incoming, there was one when the issue started). As far as I can see, I have no filters of any kind activated.

Any idea how to see the invisible messages again?

I have the wrong server setting. It is currently using the server name "imap01.crystone.se" but I need to have "imap.websupport.se". Everytime I try to change this it changes back to the first server name again. I have tried to reinstall thunderbird, and deleted the account and adding it again, but nothing works. As for now I can't see or write any emails. Any ideas?

I am trying to set up three email addresses in Thunderbird from a domain that I own.

I can set the first one up but when i attempt to set the second one up, using exactly the same IMAP and SMTP details, it says it cant find it and wont set it up.

I have checked and nothing is different. Any ideas how to solve?
