So I've recently shifted from Chrome to Firefox and there's his specific touch pad gesture I set up on windows settings and it acts like media controls, but it seem to be unresponsive. Tried it with Chrome and VLC media player and it worked normally. Tried setting about:config; media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled but its already set to true.

Tell me how I can continue to use thunderbird with the above account and also Denis.Clarke.hotmail.com after September 18. I have 4 individual historic E mail accounts and thunderbird joins them together. What do you need to do? To deal with threat below.

Formatted my phone but playing videos still lags and stutters on Firefox browser on my Samsung. Only happens on Firefox, I've tested on Qwant, Duckduckgo and Brave and this problem doesn't occur. What might be the problem and solution?

It's interesting that sometimes the video plays fine until I unmute it. Sometimes the problem goes away after I stop and play or refresh the page. I often have to play the video on a different browser.

So, videos work fine on other browsers so I discart being a phone problem. But on my other phone this problem doesn't happen with firefox.

I've been for several months looking for help/answer/fix for this issue. And I've been with firefox for ever and I don't mind minor bugs and problems but this is starting to be a bit annoying and more and more I feel like I need to move on to a new browser.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years without any issues. I recently bought a laptop running Windows 11. On this machine, I have two accounts that cannot send emails via SMTP. What is puzzling is that I can retrieve emails through IMAP without any problems.

For another account I had to use STARTTLS to get it working. But on my Windows 10 machine, the same account is sending emails correctly with SSL/TLS.

Thunderbird is allowed through the Windows firewall and is on the antivirus whitelist.

I recently fixed an issue (connecting to Gmail) by allowing cookies, so it might be a simple fix like that.

Could someone help me, please?

Having followed the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/modern-authentication-methods-now-needed-to-continue-syncing-outlook-email-in-non-microsoft-email-apps-c5d65390-9676-4763-b41f-d7986499a90d to update the security settings on my outlook/hotmail email accounts Thunderbird no longer reliably saves/enters the passwords. The password is saved in settings as that is where I copy it from to enter manually but why is Thunderbird not doing the entry as previously. It is not every log in and not always the same account, but regularly one or the other will come up with "enter your credentials" Also occasionally the credentials screen will flash on screen and then disappear, not necessarily for the account I am using at the time but one of the others. Firefox is very dear to me. I use it on my computer all the time for how much more relatively secure it is from other browsers. But Android version is a hellish nightmare. When I open the app, even with no previous tabs on, it will not be responsive for more than 30-45 seconds for seemingly no reason. Same thing when I kill the app and start it again. If it does have open tabs, it will either not be able to fetch their sum number to be displayed on the top right corner until that aforementioned timespan passes, and/or I wont be able to remove/add tabs until again that period of time passes! This is a blocking issue that's been there for well over a year and a half, if not longer!

When I am trying to access emails, a popup says to get certificate= imap.aussiebroadband.com.au:993 and confirm security exception. It will not allow emails to download

One of the typical configuration in linux is to turn off the user namespaces and/or network namespaces. This is because most of the exploits in linux have been related to namespaces vulnerabilities.

If there is a Firefox ver 127.0.2, running on Linux in which the user namespace is turned off then the following is observed in the Troubleshooting information, i.e. about:support Seccomp-BPF (System Call Filtering) true Seccomp Thread Synchronisation true User Namespaces for privileged processes true User Namespaces false Content Process Sandboxing true Media Plugin Sandboxing true

So how come with the username turned off, the content process and media plugin is still sandboxed? Also is having user namespace turned off, as given above, a security risk?

However if the network namespace is turned off, i.e. max_net_namespaces is set to zero, then it renders the browser unusable. Nothing works. Why is that?

Is there some documentation somewhere where these namespaces and their impact is explained in detail?

Installed 127.0 (20240606181944) from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_Leap_15.5/ and since then I've been unable to:

• Close a window by closing the last tab (the last tab X does nothing)
• The toolbar Account icon has nothing under it, have to go via Settings to manually sync and manage account

I have several virtual desktops: Desktop 1, 2, 3 and 4. Case 1: Assume that there is at least one opening Firefox window in any virtual desktop. And, if I try to open a new window in Desktop x (x = 1, ..., 4), it will appears in Desktop x as expected. Case 2: Assume that there are currently no opening Firefox windows in any virtual desktop. And, if I try to open a new window in Desktop 2 or 3 or 4, it will only appears in Desktop 1.

I've been experiencing a rather "unusual" issue: My Firefox up until version 116.0b8 worked perfectly fine; however, after any updates to versions beyond that, it stopped working.

I've tried the final versions and the betas, but nothing works. I attempted reinstallation and everything else, but I couldn't solve the mystery and remain stuck on version 116.0 beta 8.

What's happening? Every time I try to load a page on any version above 116.0, it either doesn't open or keeps loading in a loop. Yet, if I use another browser or revert to version 116, everything works correctly. This issue does not occurs in others machines.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. I've noticed that Firefox has been running very slowly on my computer recently. Pages take a long time to load, and the browser often freezes or becomes unresponsive. I've already tried clearing the cache and disabling extensions, but the problem persists. I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can take to improve performance for my website?

1. In the past there was a restriction on the suggested number for "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server". Is that still the case?

2. Does prefs.js contain all the altered about:config settings? Can I safely transfer "prefs.js" to other profiles in attempt to enable all those settings changes, instead of changing them manually, one by one.

I recently installed Thunderbird on my mac. It seems to work well, except that it will not show my Archive folder (simply named "Archive") in the list of folders. I can see from my mail provider's web app that it is there and has my messages in it, and if I use search in thunderbird I can find messages in the Archive folder, but the Archive folder is completely missing from the list of folders. (I can see other folders, just not Archive.)

I did find how I can customize what folders Thunderbird will put Archived messages in, but that's not what I'm looking for. What I want is to be able to see the already existing folder with messages archived by other clients, e.g. the provider's web app.
