Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. Notifications/New emails not popping up on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.

I've tried everything including checking Focus Do not disturb is off, all settings in Firefox and Outlook are turned on to recieve notofictions but still nothing.

I'm on a new Mac Studio, but also found that it had started to not show notifications on the older iMac.

It seems like a difficult problem, which no one knows how to solve, not even Firefox (?) The problem has existed for a while and has not been recognized and resolved by Fiorefox. Very simple and straightforward problem: open a web page, give permission for location (this is indeed set in the settings) and the web page can determine the location. After closing the web page and restarting it, the location is blocked again, even though the settings states that Firefox still has access to the location.

I can't SEND on Thunderbird as of Update to Version 115.12.1 on 6/19. I was able to SEND on June 18th and left town for a week and when I came back could not Send. That could be a coincidence. Have Windows 11, with Defender Firewall and Security virus protection. I have TB version 115.12.2 up to date. I have checked with Spectrum for the correct configuration and currently I have as Description: SMTP Server (on top line); Server Name: Mail.brighthouse.com and Port 465, No Authentication and SSL/TLS. My User Name: e-mail address ends in @tampabay.rr.com and that is the same as shown on incoming server.

My husband just downloaded TB program on his Windows 8.1 which is my old computer that I've been running TB on for 15 years without a hitch!! ''''And he also cannot SEND.'''' It's very frustrating - we've tried changing server settings since Spectrum uses not only Brighthouse (which is the one they say covers the Tampabay.rr.com address) but they also use Mobil.charter.net and also TWC.com. I've tried changing them up but nothing works. I've tried changing Ports and anything I could change I did, but nothing works. I did get a couple of error msgs but they didn't help. Brighthouse timed out and another msg was saying that the email address I was sending as had to match the email address of the authentication and that didn't make sense as I have only had one address & (typed correctly in all places). I have called Spectrum more than once and asked for an upper level, however, they were no help at all saying they have no resp. for 3rd party etc. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP SOLVE THIS MYSTERY. Thank you!

This started a week or two ago intermittantly on some websites. Today I cannot see any images of amazon items in the shopping cart. I can see the thumbnails in the right side bar, and if I click on an item, the image appears on its for sale page. Ebay usually shows the first image, but the rest won't load, unless I click on "unable to load images" and then they might. Or if I use the icon to put the images in their own box, I can < and > to navigate them

Turned the new "secure DNS" feature off & on, no difference. Turned off NoScript, no difference.

I am using Firefox 127 on Ubuntu.

When I press the Control key, I often lose focus in the window I am currently viewing. This is annoying as it prevents me from copy-pasting for example.

Sometimes the focus is back when I release Control, sometimes it is lost and I have to click again on the text field. It does not happen on all websites, for example support.mozilla.org works well, but it happens on duckduckgo or overleaf.

It does not seem to be the same as existing issues such as [the "show mouse when press Ctrl" of Ubuntu] (it is disabled) or an addon (the problem still happens in safe mode).

In case it is useful, when I press Control the tab bar background goes slightly darker, see attached images.

I found missing customization option for Android Firefox to be AMOLED black theme, it just gets darker but not pitch black. Or I haven't found the way to do it

I am using an older MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6, for which the latest Firefox is 115.12.0ser (64-bit). It has always been working like a champ, but a few weeks ago, individual YouTube video pages look very odd. Usually the related recommended videos are along the right edge in one row, and below the default video window is the title, description, and then the comments.

The problem I have is that these two components became transposed, and if the video is displayed as full screen, the page can be pushed upwards to show the title etc got squashed below the video window, with the recommended videos still in a grid below it. I hope the included pictures are sufficient to illustrate the issue.

Another computer, an iMac running El Capitan 10.11.6, and Firefox 78.15.0ser owned by a family member, does not show this odd phenomenon. I must say I am quite intrigued by this, and would greatly appreciate any help my fellow members can offer.

After Thunderbird update 115.12.2(20240621154414) was installed on my PC on the 25/6/2024 I am unable to receive emails. I continue to get an error message on account noeljc@optusnet.com.au (IMAP)

   Connection to server mail.optusnet.com.au timed out.

or Failed to connect to server mail.optusnet.com.au. I have looked thru all the forums and tried various solutions without success including extending the setting for mailnews.tcptimeout to 3000. I have checked and validated my account server settings are as recommended by my ISP(Optus) are correct for authenticated emails. I even turned off my Norton VPN completely to no avail even though I use Split tunnelling to allow Thunderbird thru it as an exclusion. It appears to me there maybe a bug in the last Thunderbird update causing this. I have had this issue in the past at various times intermittently but it has always seemed to correct itself. I have been in contact with my ISP(Optus) regarding this error and all they could say was to logon to email server via webmail and did not offer any other solution. It appears there is a communication breakdown between my PC and the Email server somewhere. As I stated this only happened after the last Thunderbird update on my PC on 25/6 as it was working up until 24/6. I also have another optus email account for my wife on Thunderbird which has the same error messages. Could the Mozilla gurus please advise what to do.

I am unable to read or reply to emails. And when I close the email it shows it as still unread. I have tech support with Best Buy Geek Squad. They were unable to help, but said there was a glitch with the email program. Also is there a phone # I can call. I work from home and my email is my lifeline. Please help!

To whom this may concern,

Hi! I am having issues with loosing tabs in private browsing mode. In the past I could have dozens of tabs open in private browsing mode for months at a time, but it seems like after the new update as soon as I leave Firefox all of my open private browsing mode my tabs disappear.

Is this an intentional new feature? Is there a way to turn it off? I would like to keep my private browsing mode tabs open after I leave the Firefox browsing app (I am not exiting or deleting any tabs or the app when I leave).

I'm not able to upload files to certain websites using Firefox on Android.

When selecting a file for the phone's file manager, the file upload simply not starting.

However, Firefox on iOS doesn't have that issue.

Firefox version used is the latest one and it is the one from Google Play.

Tried another browser and it works great.

I've had thunderbird running on my desktop for many years. I tried setting it up identically on my android and it doesn't work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as I run the server side as well. How do you get thunderbird to accept no username or password for the outbound server? I'm using postfix and it only accepts outbound email from my ip address.

I have been dealing with problems with Firefox and YouTube for a long time. Every time I open a YouTube video in a new tab it would always give me this grey screen that goes away after a long time waiting.

I have tried:

• Refreshing Firefox
• Reinstalling Firefox
• Troubleshoot Mode, which the problem persist in troubleshoot mode so its not an addon
• Tried creating a new profile
• User-Agent Switcher which doesn't work all the time.

I want to avoid going chromium-based browsers but this is making me consider.

I have set toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to TRUE in both Thunderbird and Betterbird.

I have created the file C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\r2v9k1zw.default\chrome\userChrome.css

I have successfully entered css into that file that work as expected in Thunderbird v115.12 and has for the past several versions. But I have NOT been able to do anything in that file that works with BetterBird. In fact, using the inspector, I don't see userChrome.css even being loaded! I have also tried starting the file with '@namespace html url(“http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”)' but that makes no difference either.

How do I get BetterBird to recognize the userChrome.css file?
