Firefox version 27.0.1 on Windows 7 Home Premium.

While working in one tab, firefox keeps moving inactive tabs to the forefront. Also, even as I type this, it will inactivate the current tab and I am forced to reselect the tab (and typing field) to continue what I was doing. Any ideas?

Did you install the PriceBlink 4.1 extension intentionally?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Yes, I have had it for a long time and the problem described has only been happening for the last few weeks.

I have tried the Safe mode both yesterday and today. Yesterday, it seemed to make a difference. Today, having only woken the computer from sleep the Safe mode needed to be re-entered without Firefox having been closed. It seems that the problem repeated itself, albeit with far lower frequency while in Safe mode today.
