Suddenly ask.com appeared as my search engine. How do I get rid of it?

Ask.com seems to have taken over as my search engine. I updated firefox to the newest version but I can't get rid of it. Is there a solution?

Most likely, this is the result of some software you installed that included an add-on or other content from Ask.com. Often you can remove the Ask.com part without affecting the software you installed (often, but not always).

In your post, you didn't include the list of Extensions, which are the type of add-on most likely to cause this issue. You can find them under:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions

If none of them appear to be related to Ask.com, or disabling/removing the ones that are related to Ask.com does not help, you can copy a list of your extensions and paste them into a reply. The best place to get the list is:

Help > Troubleshooting Information

Any luck?
