Firefox does not auto log in, this was working yesterday until it was updated.

Auto log in is not working after update to 3.6.9. This feature was working yesterday. I can still see all of my user names and passwords in the password manager.

"Remember me" options are stored in cookies. First try removing the cookies for the site and then log in and see if it remembers you the next time you visit the site. Details of how to do that are shown in the deleting cookies article.

If that does not work, the file that stores cookies may be corrupt and you can try deleting the file to see if that resolves the problem.

  1. Open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see the profiles article
  2. Close Firefox
  3. Delete or rename cookies.sqlite
  4. Re-start Firefox and see if it will remember login details
