How can I overrun the Secure Connection Failed?

Every time this happened to me it was a false alarm, even with one internet service provider before clicking 4 times on the «Try Again» button. I fail to understand why is Firefox taking decisions that only belong to me. I cannot accept any browser or whatsoever deciding over my own wish. An advice is welcome, but not take the command. With the advice, Firefox has done its duty well. Then, if someone takes a wrong decision that will be up to him and himself alone. Furthermore, all the advices I have had up to date were wrong, the most frequent being a certificate just expired shortly ago.

I am with Firefox since it appeared, the Netscape and then a Mozilla with editing facility, many years ago. I kept it because it is a browser that we can «domesticate», but if it changed to this point where we cannot do what we want or need, it seems that I'll finally have to change browser. There are a few other very safe browsers, like Tor, but still, I am used to Firefox.

So, how can I overrun the Secure Connection Failed, please?

Try changing DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to "Off" or "Max Protection" and in Connection Settings change "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".

Do you have any active enterprise policies listed in about:policies?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Hilfreich?

Sorry, I haven´t had the time to try your suggestions, and not even this week. I will be back with results or questions, thank you.

Hilfreich?
