Since the new update for some reason, videos on some websites are no longer loading as they used to. The big sites like YouTube and Netflix are fine though others are giving error codes.

(Error Code: 102630) is a common one, even after going through the guides online to get it working nothing works.

The other thing I've noticed is: Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG This also comes up on some web players. Same again, nothing works trying to fix it.

Something changed during update 122.0.1 ?? Any Help or Ideas would be great. :)

If I see such SSL errors, the first thing I check is the antivirus, do you use any?

Thanks for the reply. To answer the question, Yes, though it needs to stated that Firefox needs to be able to work with Security software's, they should not have to be turned off and put people at risk because of the browser, they are Not the problem.

As I said the change only happened in update 122.0.1 before that! everything was working fine. Currently in build 123.0 it still has not been corrected.

During a browser test on the site ssllabs.com I found that many of the Cipher Suites are Weak, though I'm not an expert I don't know if these are needed to function properly.

For anyone else who is having the same problem and looking for a fix, a work around I found is to Disable Fingerprinting protection.

In About:Config Disable: privacy.fingerprintingProtection and privacy.resistFingerprinting

This will allow videos on sites to play and remove the (Error Code: 102630) though I need to mention doing this puts people at Risk, The Canvas API, which is designed for drawing graphics via JavaScript and HTML, can also be used for online tracking via browser fingerprinting.

Does disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection for this site also work?

You can check for issues with Enhanced Tracking Protection. Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages like blocked content.
