I have never maximized a Firefox window and I never will. After the latest update, all new windows, whether they are opened from another page via right-click or directly from the toolbar icon, open in a maximized view. I do not want this. Is there a way to prevent your program from inserting itself directly on top of everything else I'm working on? Have I accidentally changed a setting I cannot find again? I'd like to know if I need to find a new browser.

Is your Linux OS still supported with updates ?

You can look at Firefox from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.
