when i try to forward articles off of web sight to my contacts it goes to google workspace instead of Thunderbird mail.

You have probably defined something on your browser to use workspaces.

You might want to read up on this in Firefox support https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-program-used-open-email-links#firefox:linux:fx102

I have set the version to 102 as 70 is way old and not currently under active support by Mozilla. As this is a browser question, I will transfer it to the Firefox Queue.
