Having moved from Talktalk to Plusnet, I find that when I want to reply to or forward e-mails up the the day of transfer, most are being stopped by a message that my talktalk account is deleted. This is happening even for e-mails sent using my gmail account. How do I delete talktalk from my system to stop this happening? The google advice was to go to account settings in the tools box of Thunderbird, but I can't see account settings there. If I go onto the trouble shooting site, then it shows my accounts as talktalk and googlemail (I assume that's just gmail). Do I just click on talktalk and all boxes to the right and delete?

If you're certain there is no mail to be kept in the old account it can be deleted.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Account Settings.

Select the account to be deleted in the left pane.

Select 'Remove Account' from the 'Account Action' drop-down menu at the bottom.
