Certain Videos not working in Firefox and Safari
Hi, I use OSX 10.9.4. and have the problem that on some webpages I can´t open videos. This problem occurs for Firefox and Safari, but not in Chrome. Mainly videos of nba.com and of youjizz.com don´t work, but then, videos of nfl.com and others have no problems. I made sure that my versions of the browsers and plugins are all up to date, deleted everything, the cache and history and disabled all add ons I was using. It´s very annoying, as I really hate Chrome and I´m getting more and more forced to used that inspite od Firefox...
Any Ideas?

Sir , we are really sorry about this. Will you kindly check the extension or the Anti-virus options... Then if you will still face the same problem kindly re-install the firefox

where do I check the anti-virus options?
I´ve already deleted everything and re-installed it... no changes.
I forgot, I have been using avast recently but i disabled it now, so it shouldn´t interfere. I have no other anti-virus applications running unless there is already an integrated one in Firefox?
Are your videos running properly now?
sadly not, i disables everything before posting here. I have no clue, what´s causing the problem...
What media player is used if you check this via the right-click context menu of the player area?
Is that the HTML5 media player or a Flash based player?
A Flash based player shows a Flash context menu.
well, for nba.com in Firefox it tries to use flash player i guess. NFL works fine with "NFL video player flash". Nba in Chrome shows: "Build20150821 Powered by NeuLion, and uses flash too... So they all show the flash player menu.
A Flash player should work unless you have an extension or security software that blocks specific content.
If you use extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
I really tried everything, extensions enabled, disabled, deleted, firefox re-installed without anything added to it, I updated the plugins and java. It really drives me nuts. And it´s the exact same thing for Safari...
Try to set this pref to false on the about:config page:
- media.apple.mp4.enabled
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
