The way it works on Android is that you need to clear the default you set earlier. Then you will get a list of possible applications to open links and you can choose Firefox.

Hi KarenLovell834, is that a MetroPCS device? If so, could you look for an app named metroWeb and see if that is the default browser? I'm just guessing from the way the icon is labeled in screen shots of the device.
