Hi Lalindu,

That's very strange! FIrefox definitely supports the full version of Gmail, so I don't know why you're always seeing the Basic HTML VIew.

This link should override Gmail's browser checking and take you straight through to the full version.

Could you give it a try and let us know whether it works?

Best,

Lalindu, I see the problem.

It looks like Google have restricted the standard version of mobile Gmail to only work in Chrome or other browsers which (like UC Browser) use the same underlying technology as Chrome.

You can install an addon like Phony and use it to trick Gmail into thinking you're using Chrome (try using the "Android (Phone)" option). It will take you through to the standard version of Gmail, but things don't look or work perfectly.

Very frustrating! I think Firefox could definitely work with the standard version of Gmail, but Google have quite deliberately chosen to prevent this.

Sorry I can't solve this. It might be worth trying the official Gmail app or an open source email client like K-9 mail instead.
