At this point I'm ready to give up on Firefox, for two major reasons:

1. Bookmarks are cumbersome as hell to access. They're buried under multiple pointless levels... and that's after you pull up a giant menu and scroll to the top of it, another pointless level. It takes four taps (and some scrolling) just to start looking at your bookmarks.

2. Every time you return to Firefox mobile from another app, it creates a new tab... instead of showing you what you were looking at a minute ago. Were you looking at your boarding pass? Welp, you won't be now. Super fun while you're in the security line!

Or, were you checking a restaurant address online so you can text it to your friend? NOPE, says Firefox. You must want a new tab instead.

The new-tab problem has been complained about for years. What is going on?

This bug appears to have happened before: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/15525

A white toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen (when using a Bluetooth keyboard) or above the floating keyboard (if using the iPad on-screen keyboard). It takes up space but serves no function and often makes it difficult to view whatever webpage I’m looking at, or, even worse, to see what I’m typing if the input field is at the bottom of the screen.

If the “Done” button is clicked, the bar goes away, but then doing so also exits the input field, so I can’t type any further if I close this toolbar. The up/down arrows seem to serve no function.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Firefox app but the issue did not go away.

This does not happen in any other app, including other web browsers like Safari.

Any advice, or a bug fix, would be much appreciated.

With version 124 of Firefox, the ‘Dark Mode’ theme no longer works. Whether I set the theme to “Use System Light/Dark Mode” or if I manually set the theme to dark, it still always shows ‘light’ mode. FYI, my iPad settings are set to ‘Dark’ mode.

I prefer to read white text on a black background - much easier on the eyes! In earlier releases of Firefox, I was able to enjoy reading stories. Now I must set my iPad (manually whenever I want to use Firefox to read) to ‘Smart Invert’ (which will switch the Firefox window to dark mode), then turn off ‘Smart Invert’ to do anything else on my iPad.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any else seeing this lately?

1. **Navigation Issues**: Firefox fails to correctly navigate forwards or backwards through browser history. It often does not load the intended previous page, skips pages, or refuses to load a page entirely, requiring the user to close all tabs and manually re-enter the URL.

2. **Loading Issues with External Links**: When opening links from external applications (e.g., email clients), Firefox frequently fails to load the expected webpage. Sometimes, it does not load any page, or it loads to a blank or the home page despite the URL being visible and highlighted in the address bar.

This issue is NOT a crash but no topic matched it. I repeatedly have trouble with pages on rogerebert.com/reviews. For example, this one: https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/leave-the-world-behind-movie-review-2023

The page loads fine but while I am reading it, every 30-60 secs it reloads and takes me back to the top of the page. I have been having this problem for a couple of weeks now and it has persisted thru a couple of updates.

I am running IOS 17.2 on an iPhone13 mini.

‘Pay with PayPal’ functionality on websites is broken for me and has been across updates of both Firefox and iPadOS for as long as I can remember at this point. I’m using an iPadPro running iOS 16.7.2 with Firefox for iOS version 120.4 (36613). When I’m checking out at e-commerce sites (e.g., J Crew), and I click on the PayPal button when selecting a form of payment, a new tab opens, but it’s literally blank — nothing even tries to connect or load. This happens across e-commerce sites. It doesn’t happen with Firefox on my PC/Windows laptop or on my iPad with other browsers (Chrome, Safari). I have tried everything that I can uninstall/reinstall, deactivate, or toggle, and nothing seems to fix this. I have cross-site tracking disabled in iOS. Some people have suggested that websites are not fully supporting Firefox any longer or that there is a problem with Firefox and Apple’s proprietary rendering engine. I’m really at the end of my wits about this. After having used Firefox faithfully since Netscape disappeared, I’m honestly on the verge of giving up. Please help.

Longstanding Scrolling BUG in FF for iOS Reader View

When I switch to Reader view in FF for iOS (text-only view), I can sometimes scroll smoothly to the bottom of an article, and sometimes Reader view suddenly starts yanking me down to the bottom of the web page when I attempt to scroll down. What do I mean by 'yanking'? I scroll down a screen's worth of text, read the next screen, and scroll again, read again, and at seemingly random moments, the view scrolls by at rapid speed to the bottom of the page. I can then try to scroll up--and it will let me scroll rapidly, pulling up so quick that the scrolling continues a moment to catch up after I remove my finger from the screen--but as soon as I try to fine-tune by touching the screen and holding it as I move it up and down a little at a time, YANK! and I'm at the bottom of the screen again. Sometimes I can leave reader view, reload the web page without leaving the page, reset to reader view, and be successful at scrolling the entire article. Other times I have to close the web page and open a new window to start over.

This happens on more than one website, and has been a problem through multiple iOS iterations (at least since iOS 14) and FF updates (I keep my FF on auto-update). Currently on iOS 17.0.3 iPhone 12 mini with FF 118.2 (34971).

The new user interface for IOS is insanely hard to use. I have an IPhone 12 mini, and recently the interface changed from one that had a large search bar at the bottom of the screen with bigger buttons and easier access. Now, it’s just one tiny row with no search bar on screen, making me either get rid of the tab or open a whole new one to search. The buttons are also ways smaller. I haven’t seen any way to get rid of this new UI and I’m not sure if i’m the only one having the issue.

Hi It seems the latest ff update for iOS now shows a dialogue (not sure what the correct name is) every time I close a tab. The dialogue is “Tab Closed Undo”. It appears for a few seconds and then disappears. Much in the same fashion as every time take a photo on my iPhone there is a thumbnail of the pic I just took.

I absolutely hate these things. I either have to wait until they go away on their own or I have to waste time swiping them away. I know Mozilla is only responsible for the Tab Closed Undo dialogue.

Is there someway I can disable this new “feature”?

Thanks so much.
