I recently learned Windows 10 support is going to stop in October 2025. I converted my Windows 10 to Windows 11 a little too early. The options I had was to 'keep everything I have' or manually select what I wanted to keep. Obviously I wanted to keep everything that I have so I selected to keep everything I have.

Windows 11 did a number on my computer. I think it fried my dual band bluetooth usb adapter, deleted saved email messages that included important passwords, and deleted all of my bookmarks that I had when I was using Windows 10 in one swoop.

For the past three days I've been trying to get what I had in Windows 10 back to Windows 11. I was able to replace some things but I seem to can't replace my old bookmarks. It has my job's link on there. I can't access my job through their horrible app but I can access my job online and no longer can do that. Even my history for the past month is gone. I thought I could access both my job points from there but it seems like the day I converted to Windows 11 deleted crucial things. Everything else is there.

Is there a way that I could retrieve my old bookmarks? I did the restore option but it only have 2 days which is the day I converted my computer but as I said, some things magically disappeared and I need those items back.

A few weeks ago I accidentally allowed Firefox to Block Youtube from making Viewing suggestions to me. Now when I go to Youtube from Firefox, all I get is a Blank screen. I want to REVERSE THAT decision and ALLOW youtube to make suggestions to me. Please help me get back to AS IT WAS BEFORE, or if you could do that for me would be great . Thanks Anand

Over a week ago my videos on Utube quit working. I click on video and it starts to load but it never does load and start. The rotating circle never stops. If I click on the progress bar the popup shows the frame of the video so the info is in the machine. I had problems with cloudflare but I finally got rid of that garbage. It did not help with the video problem. I am running Windows 11 on an HP Pavilion that is about year old. It has 32 g of ram and 500g of storage. Windows and Firefox are up to date. I have rebooted and refreshed Windows and uninstalled Firefox but that does not help. I have no other problems, Chrome and Edge do not have the problem. I have an old HP desktop that runs windows 11 (slowly) and Firefox runs U Tube videos on it with no problems.

I have been using Firefox for a long time and truly enjoy it. However, lately it has problems loading websites. It can delay for two or three minutes to load gmail, citicards, Schwab, etc. I do not have the problem when I switch to Chrome. Therefore, it has to be something with Firefox. If this cannot be resolved I will switch, reluctantly, to Chrome.

Hello, what can I do to prevent the fans in my laptop from turning on at full speed when watching a video, or playing a music stream or internet radio through the site? I tried playing the same media on the EDGE browser and the computer is cool there, only through the Firefox browser, as soon as I turn on a YT movie or a radio stream, the fans start working at full speed. I understand that accessing it with javascript from the browser console would be a security issue. I want to bypass it to read, analize and compare dynamic data from the open tabs.

I get the error message The outgoing mail server (SMTP) smtp.myserver.com does not seem to support encrypted passwords. If you have just set up the account, try changing the 'Authentication method' in 'Account settings | Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' to 'Normal password'.

I have several accounts, all have the setting 'normal password'. The solution is installed on several mobile devices. Via mobile phone (Iphone) my outbox works perfectly. I get the error message on my tablet and PC. I have not changed any settings or anything else. What would be the solution?

I have been searching this theme on Firefox theme extensions for days and I think someone can help me. So I also attached an image of that theme. It's the image when I used it 1 year ago and I just fell in love with that theme.

My configuration is the following: Windows 11, internal display connected to iGPU and external UHD display to nvidia-HDMI port, multiple firefox windows are opened (1 one the internal screen, 2 on the external).

Then in Windows->Settings->GPU I can select firefox to run on either iGPU (powersaving) or on Nvidia GPU (max perf), the problem is the following: Whenever I set firefox running on iGPU, there would be a massive stuttering/framedrop on an external display (connected to NVIDIA), while a perfectly smooth browsing on internal display, and vice versa.

My first attempt was to disable webrenderer compositor or switching it to a software rendering, which fixes the heavy stuttering, but the scrolling becomes overall less fluid/responsive.

However, setting "layers.gpu-process.enabled" to "false" seemingly solves this problem completely. Now I have a perfectly smooth scrolling on both displays, regardless of which GPU is used in Windows->Settings->GPU (nvidia's is arguably a little but more responsive).

Hope this helps someone, or maybe dev team could look deeper into this.

I don't even move my mouse or do anything, and video is pausing randomly without any of my input. It doesn't have any frequency, it just happens. You can see it on video below. I watched nearly 5 minutes of a random video, and it paused 4 times without any reason. As you can see, everything I do is just moving my mouse a little and that's it. No more input from me. If search keys or an internet address are entered into it, carriage return results in no action. The address bar is fully functional in Troubleshooting Mode. About once per week, I'll be using Firefox and it will stop working. I'll close it and open it again and it gives me an error message "The application "Firefox" can't be opened."

If I download Firefox and reinstall it, everything will work fine for another week and then it will do it again. I'm not doing the same thing when it breaks. It does it on both my Mac Mini (macOS 14.5) and my Mac laptop (macOS 12.7.5).

It just started happening in May on both. Nothing has changed on both that I can think of.

Pinned tabs disappear from main browser window AFTER using "New private window" browser to test a different site issue. This has happened a few times for me. It is very cumbersome and should not be necessary to do a problem search and see all the steps needed to follow using the sessionstore.jsonlz4 process. Why can't Firefox have simple "restore PINNED tabs" history? I am going to plan on saving each link for each pinned tab in a document of my own simply because it is EXTREMELY annoying and TIME CONSUMING to try to get each of them back. Why does the "New Private Window" use cause this issue in the main browser window?

Since last update, when I am in email and select an image to download to my computer, it pops up in my browser. I have to right click to "Save As" to get it to my downloads folder, then click the back button of the browser to get back into email. Very frustrating. I have gone into firefox settings and set everything that I had an option to download to computer. It has not solved the problem. I have noticed in the application box in firefox settings, there is not an option of IMG, JPG, or PNG. Really need some help. thanks!
