When Firefox opens up the address is typed in at top left in small print. The center bar is there, open, but if you click on it, while the cursor blinks, when you type in an address nothing appears as it does with Google Chrome which we have replaced with Firefox. My wife finds the top left print too small and wants me to go back to Google Chrome where she can read what she has entered. I cannot find anything, anywhere which will allow her to do this. We use Thunderbird and have made a few donations over the years. Hope you can help.

Toggling the left Shift key opens and closes the bookmarks tab on the left side of screen. Its very annoying when wanting typing capitals. Also the left Alt button opens the media player. Both these started doing so by themselves. The right buttons of these keys operate as normal. How to turn these off.

I just got this new computer and want to transfer my FireFox bookmarks and history to it. I cannot access my old account because I do not have access to that email anymore, and you require me to get a code sent to that email to log in. That is still on my old computer that was originally running Windows 8, and has been deteriorating ever since Microsoft jammed Windows 10 down it's throat.

I might still be able to export the bookmarks if there is some way to do that.

The best way would be if I could access to that old account without needing to access bonin006@umn.edu my current email is wayne@nano-dyne.com

I have two PCs with latest versions of Firefox and Roboform. On one, Roboform controls the password manager in Firefox, in one it doesn't. How can I change the setting so it controls in both?

I don't know why or if it's related to Firefox, but For the last couple of weeks after logging into Instagram or Facebook or Disney+ or Paramount+ or X I get an email from them that says I logged in from a device I don't usually use. I have had the same device for several years. Getting those emails is annoying and also concerning. Can I fix this somehow? FYI I use Duck Duck Go via Firefox for my internet searches.

I switched back to release from nightly because the themes support completely broke rendering of menus, buttons, etc on various (read: pretty much every single one, including this one) websites, making them difficult or impossible to use. I've tried a browser refresh to no effect.

unfortunately, it appears the feature has been rolled out to release now as well, as pictured below.

I've tried cycling through themes, setting custom colors and forcing it to never replace the website's specified colors etc, turning off acceleration... none of it works. this is an issue on my desktop, laptop, and tablet (surface pro x), basically every platform I use except mobile.

any ideas how to fix this? it's really annoying and I'd really like to not hop browsers again, I've been using firefox for a good long while now.

I am currently on windows 11 for ARM (surface laptop 7) and this problem is occurring with both Firefox as well as Firefox developer edition. It's also only happening on my external monitor. I have done some searching and found posts from as long as 4 years ago. The posted solution is to disable any compatibility options but in my case none are selected. This is driving me nuts, does anyone know of a solution? This has to be firefox specific because no other program does this, including other browsers. I have included a screenshot to show what it looks like.

No issues in troubleshooting mode, when I disable all of my add-ons and themes the issue persists. I have reset my browser entirely as well as uninstalled and reinstalled with the same issues.

I am very strongly opposed to any AI features being forced on me. When I opened Amazon today I discovered Fakespot had turned it self on. Might there might be some way to edit my config file to not have this happen again?

Whenever I have Firefox open with certain games, the browser randomly freezes and ultimately crashes. But especially when I have videos running. The game itself does not crash and runs completely fine with no issues.

I have no idea what causes it, and I used to not have this issue at all before. However, I believe it was after I upgraded my computer, which should have no issues with the specs I have.

I have been cleaning up a rather messy and duplicate-filled set of bookmarks on my desktop and have inadvertently deleted a single folder I would very much like to have back. I have that same folder (ten years of photography-related links) on my laptop but do not see a straight forward way to bring it alone over to my desktop. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I am not computer savy and I have tried every way I know to get to the following web site. Please help me. I put it in and it just says not logged in. I have tried changing passwords and that does not matter. I was in the middle of watching the Phillies and the Braves play on Apple TV+ 7/5/24. While watching the game, the screen flashed a message I couldn't catch and that was the end of viewing Apple TV+. From that moment on all that was displayed was the original promotional page (attached) that seemed to have all it's links disabled. After playing with it for awhile with no success I switched to Chrome and the streaming ran okay. I then reinstalled a clean Firefox but I still have the same issue. A dead Apple TV+. I am baffled by this. Need help. Please see attachment. I am running Windows 11

Whenever I log into my amazon account, a windows prompt pops up telling me to use "windows hello passkeys" so I can log into the website using my windows pin/fingerprint. I cannot find a way to stop this from popping up, and I do not want to be bothered by it. Is there a way to prevent this from showing? I can't find any solution online

I have a desktop and a laptop. Desktop crashed, so rebuilding.

Firefox on both, settings same on both. On Desktop - Last Pass will not appear. On laptop, same as it always has been.

Very weird.

Firefox keeps going off for from 5 seconds to about 20 seconds. It happens several times a minute. The screen goes blank and I can’t click on anything. Really aggravating. I would appreciate any help. Thanks
