We have a Thunderbird email for our woodcraft organisation. It is linked to our website. The website is hosted on the server of a member of the club, but we need to remove the website from his server. We have decided to close the website down. Will this impact on our email? If necessary, we can create a new Thunderbird email address, which is an inconvenience, but is there any way Thunderbird can move all the existing emails across to a new address? If not, I will have to save them all some other way, which is a big job. Many thanks in anticipation.

I'm getting a message the following message each time I try to send an email:

"Sending of the message Failed.

Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.googlemail.com. Please check the password and verify the "Authentication method" in Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'.

Under SMTP Server I see the following: Description:Google Mail Server Name: smtp.googlemail.com Port: 465 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2

I'm using a macbook air, and I was trying to use the fingerprint login thing, when instead of unlocking my puter it shut down the whole thing and it started to make very loud fan noises. I waited a few minutes for it to stop, then got back on, and my bookmarks and saved passwords were deleted from firefox. No passwords or logins were reset on any other applications. This is very alarming since I had just made an email and some accounts to manage some event I'm holding, and now the password I trusted to firefox is lost. I need this password, as otherwise I cannot log into my email since I hadn't time to set up recovery measures (I have tried to recover it, but there's insufficient evidence for google that I own the account :/ ).

I tried looking through my browsing history for anything helpful, but everything was deleted from there as well. I also was not logged into my Mozilla account at the time either, so I am really in some sort of predicament here, , I'd appreciate any advice and ideas here!!

I just moved from the MS Edge to Firefox Nightly on both on my pc and on my android phone, and as far i like it very much, except maybe the bookmarks sync but i will not talk about this right now.

My problem is on my win11 pc, after the 1st update there are now two identical Firefox apps showing on the default apps, in settings, as you can see in the picture. I search on the internet for a solution but with no success. Can someone help me with this ?? Thanks in advance !!

I have two email accounts set up as POP mail servers that I want Thunderbird v. 128.1.0esr (64-bit) to check. Until recently they both worked fine. Now while one of them continues to work, mail for the other is never downloaded. Comparing the Thunderbird Server Settings for the two accounts, they appear to be identical except for User Name and MessageStorage/Local Directory.

Even more confusing, I have identical accounts on both a laptop and a desktop computer. I get the problem with the laptop (above), but *not* with the desktop, where I have Thunderbird v. 102.15.1 installed!

Is there some setting I'm overlooking?

Receiving a 'bounced' notice in my inbox that tells me to advise sender to reduce the size of their message. It does not tell me who the sender is. How can I figure this out?

I'm on Thunderbird Nebula 128.1.0esr 64-bit. I use IMAP and I have multiple accounts in my Thunderbird configuration. I have Google Workspace for our business which I can received and read email by IMAP, but I cannot send. I also have a personal Gmail account and that can send and receive.

Yesterday Google experienced a global outage and as best I can tell it has somehow screwed up the OAuth2 Session / Tokens for some Thunderbird clients. Over on Reddit there are other users reporting the issue and it appears to be a bigger issue on Workspace accounts. It does not affect the entire Workspace domain. In our business, I have other users who are on Thunderbird and can still send/receive email on the same Workspace hosted domain that I am having issues with.

I have gone into Settings > Privacy & Security > Saved Passwords and removed the entries for the account that I'm having problems with. That did cause Thunderbird to spawn the browser window to Google to carry through with OAuth2 token approval. That got me back into receiving email, but I still can't send via SMTP.

When trying to send I get the following dialog, but clicking Enter New Password just does nothing and the Dialog just reloads again. I attempted to add a new SMTP Server in Thunderbird, but that never prompts a new OAuth2 dialog for that new server and same Dialog box appears.

My email application is zmailcloud.com from Cloudiance. It has worked fine for me for years using Firefox. However, in the last week or so, when I open an email message, I cannot see anything but empty "From"and To" fields. Nothing is in the body of the message, either (see attached screenshot). But, if I open a reply or forward message, everything in the original message appears normal (see other screenshot). This problem does not occur using Micrsoft Edge, only Firefox. Anyone have any suggestions???

Thunderbird did an automatic update late today and since then have been unable to send emails. Incoming emails appear to be working.

I am using a Gmail IMAP account

The error message is - " Login to server smtp.gmail.com with username stevematulick@gmail.com failed. "

When I then select cancel then get a further Error message -

"Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'. "

I quit all and shut down my computer on 30 July 2024. On returning, ( 9 August 2024) and re-opening everything, I cannot get any emails newer than when I shutdown the system. Am I doing something wrong?

When playing YouTube videos in full screen using

Firefox: the gear button and the "restore screen size/exit full screen" button are nonfunctional (nothing happens when I tap on them).

Google Chrome browser: the gear icon button is nonfunctional.

DuckDuckGo browser: the gear icon button is non functional.

Opera browser: the gear icon button is non functional.

This problem started about a week and a half ago.

How do I delete multiple emails? I keep getting emails that say that I am at 95%. The only way I have figured out how to delete emails is one at a time! That will take a long time. I have tried clicking and selecting and that is not working! HELP!

When I attempt to search something and expect a redirect to my search engine or try to access a site that autocompletes in the address bar (for example, typing drive, autocompleting to drive.google.com, then clicking Enter to go to Google Drive), sometimes the website does not load after pressing Enter, and it is as if the search/address input did not go through after pressing Enter.

This seems to be an issue that has been occurring only over the past few months. What may be the issue, and how may I resolve this?

Why does TB 115.14.0.. 32bit on Win7 occasionally not download an email that I can see and read when using the web site email program? (Currently.com AT&T on Yahoo)

One of the Firefox profiles does not save logins and passwords, but other profiles of the browser at that same computer have not that problem. How can I solve this problem ?

After 129.0 update hulu streaming quit working. I have other streaming services that still work fine. I tried it on older version of firefox 115.14.0esr (64bit) (old pc microsoft 8.1) and it works fine there. Can i go back to an older version of firefox or is this a known issue with update?

 This is the issue, Hulu website loads and allows you to log in. When you try to stream a show it plays commercial then freezes.

I have a new computer ... I like using Firefox as a browser but continue to have issues logging into Facebook...I have opted to use Chrome as I do not have issues using it.. When is Mozilla/Firefox going to address this issue & finally fix it??
