How do I designate StartPage as my search engine in Firefox. I found no place in Firefox Settings to choose a search engine other that your select few. For many years I have been able to do this in previous installations.

I lost power today and when I had it restored, had a message that the Firefox versions were incompatible (I think it got interrupted during an update. Anyway, no internet access through Firefox, so I deleted Firefox thinking I could reinstall and all might be good. So far, not so good...

I was able to Google my way to install the extended release version of Firefox for dinosaurs but I lost all of my bookmarks. Is there a way to get this back? I would hate to start over finding the places I visit and also recalling old spreadsheets, documents, etc....

Any help would be appreciated.

Yesterdays update of Thunderbird seems to have crashed my Thunderbird and all it's saved info. How do I restore it and I searched my hard drive and can't locate the .exe file?

I have been using Thunderbird for 10+ years and it's the best mail program hands down. However...

Before this last update everything ran just as advertised, then after this latest (128.1.0esr (64-bit)) it rund so slow, snails pace slow. It's not just the download and loading, it's also when it sorts messages it has taken up to a full minute to move an email (no image) from the Inbox to another folder. I have changed nothing, I went through and delted a bunch of messages and it's still so slow.

Windows 10 Pro - Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My company has been using the same customized autoconfig.js without issue since last year's FF 115 esr release on our Ubuntu servers.

Now we are testing the 128 esr next releases with the same config and getting the failed to read the configuration file. please contact your system administrator error

If remove pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); or set it to 1, the error goes away, but our actual firefox.cfg does not get read and are configs are not present at all.

I'm downloading Firefox to a windows 11 Surface. In settings, I receive a 'set default file types and link types' but I have no idea how to accept/say yes/set default.
