There is a certain wiki site I visit which changes it's theme based on the game the wiki is about. I'm trying to change the color of the links on the website because they are the same color as the text so it's impossible to see which are links. I want to change only this websites link/text color.

I have opened about:config and tweaked browser.anchor_color

browser.visited_color.

This doesn't change the website link color im trying to change because the site sets it's own color for links and text.

Assuming it works the same on mobile as on the desktop, these color settings only get applied when a site doesn't define its own colors (i. e. basically never nowadays) - unless you explicitly set Firefox to override the sites' settings (`browser.display.document_color_use` set to "2", which corresponds to selecting "Always" from the dropdown menu in the color settings).

Is there any way I can completely disable horizontal scrolling? I'm using a laptop with a trackpoint (lenovo x230, Windows 10) and it's not terribly accurate, which means scrolling whilst a youtube video is going often makes it track backwards or forwards, and another website I use uses a horizontal click to send me to the next page, which sucks. I would prefer to just be able to disable it entirely. Thanks!

I swear to god I used to have it disabled, just need to work out how again.

Firefox 125.0 (64-bit) Linux - File download location

Hi all,

I'm using Firefox 125.0 (64-bit) on Fedora and for file downloads, I have the options "Ask whether to open or save files" and "Always ask you where to save files" enabled.

This basically works, Firefox opens a file selection dialog and I can select where I want to save my downloads - so far, so good.

The weird thing is, the default location that is shown in this dialog seems to change every time I download a file. I would expect to see the last download location as the default option, but that is not what happens.

When I check about:config, I can see the last used download path is saved as browser.download.lastDir perfectly fine, but it is not set as the default for the next download.

Is there a parameter I can set so this last path is used again?

Thanks,

M.

Open Tab Sync Not Working from Android to Windows

Firefox Sync is not working appropriately insofar as, when I check Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop, I cannot see any tabs being synced from the Firefox app on my Android phone, even though both apps are logged into the same Firefox account and syncing open tabs is enabled on both machines.

However, when I check my phone, I can see all the tabs synced from my desktop. So, this seems to suggest that the sync process is working correctly on both desktop and mobile because I can actually see all the tabs that are open on my desktop, but I cannot see any of the tabs that are open my Android.

Everything is checked to sync on both the Windows and the Android Firefoxes.

Has anyone encountered a situation like this before, where sync is working appropriately, but one device seems to be refusing to upload specific data to the sync servers?

Up to 126.0b9, files with encoded URLs in their filenames downloaded normally. As of 127 onward, however, it gets changed to _3A instead of %3A, etc. Is there a setting somewhere in config to revert this?

Example:
