Thunderbird on my computer is using a huge amount of system resources. It's using about 730 MB of RAM on any given day. The app also stalls for over 5 seconds if I'm trying to click between any two things in relative succession.
Comparatively, my outlook program uses only 130 MB of ram or so at the same time. The total RAM usage was using approximately 55% of my system resources. I've tried doing the reset and boot into the safety mode, but it just goes back when booted normally.
My computer has 16MG or RAM, 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1355U, 1700 Mhz, 10 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s), using Windows 11 Pro

Imagine always having access to navigation buttons at the top of the screen. You even downloaded an app that put system UI buttons at the top of the screen, too! It agrees with your rapidly aging joints because it's easier to have your hands closer to their default orientation.
Look at your hand right now. What orientation is it in? Did you look at the side of your pointer finger and your thumb? No. You likely looked at your palm. Furthermore, many blind people who use phones will type with accessibility features that often result in their hands being in the default orientation. The screens will be facing away and they'll use 6 or 8 fingers on the touchscreen to type.
Having navigation buttons at the top of the screen can be more accessible to some people because it is more compatible with the default orientation of the human hand. (Also disappointed that I can no longer put Gboard most of the way up the screen. But that's a problem that won't get fixed because Google is too big to have useful support and dev teams)

This morning, for the very first time in 12 years, I opened my hotmail/outlook email tab and got a completely blank white screen, and nothing more. I've restarted my laptop twice, just to see if it was a Windows glitch. Nope. I disabled ad blockers with the little shield in front of the URL--still no change.
I love Firefox and prefer to use nothing else. However, I tried to open my email with Edge and it works fine. It also works fine on my older computer that did NOT get the Firefox update, so something is amiss here. Firefox updated recently on this machine and I'm wondering if something went wrong in the update. I'm not very tech savvy, but can anyone help me?

A number of folders in Tbird have changed to a greyed out and italicized font for the name--and are now empty. I have tried 'repair folder' and have also tried deleting the corresponding msf files in the profiles folder and restarting the program, but there is no change.
The files in the profiles folder that have the same name as the Tbird folders appear to contain data, so I'm assuming the messages are there--just need to get them into msf files somehow?

When I am typing, it takes a few seconds every now and then to catch up. Additionally, when I am scrolling, it will be unresponsive for a couple of seconds before jumping to where I supposedly scrolled to. I am using Mint Linux Firefox 128.0.3.
