Since at least Firefox version 9 in up, I found that my AOL-Netscape webpage would not play videos . On Google and IE9 I had no problems.

I decided to start Firefox (latest Version) on safe mode and disabled the extensions that I felt would affect video playback. Found that Ghostery extension was the cause. I removed the extension and now video plays back like a charm. I don't know if other people have had this problem but it solved mine.

So reading your details for this, it seems that uninstalling Ghostery https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/ fixed your problem? You can try reporting this to the developer of the add-on, so they can research it and maybe release a fix.

Good Idea. I figured since I have Ghostery on Chrome and IE9 that it might have been a firefox programming glitch. I will let the authors of Ghostery know. Thanks for the feedback.
