When I select some text and right click on it and search for it, the new tab is opened and switched to immediately. I don't want that. Instead I want to stay on the page I am on and don't want new tab to be switched to immediately.

hi Obaid.Farooq, please try the following: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.search.context.loadInBackground. double-click it and change its value to true.
