Apparently after some kind of crash, whenever I start Firefox I receive an error message saying "Profile is missing or corrupted. Cannot be loaded" or something like that. The information about loading the Profile Manager does no good, since it presumes you can already start Firefox. It is not even allowing me to create a new profile, and downloading a new version of Firefox does not work either.

Hello tomreedtoon,

try to delete the profiles.ini file to force firefox to create a new profile, the profiles.ini file exist in firefox profile folder path

for your windows use "Start > Run" (or press "Windows key+R" to open the Run box) and type :

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox

and click "OK" to quickly open the appropriate folder

when the new profile created (after you delete the profiles.ini folder) then see:
