I am using FF 13.0.1 on Windows 7.

Regarding sites that Prohibit Password Saving, sometimes, I gather, it has to do with the site simply putting a 0 where they might have put a 1. (It's not like I know what I'm talking about, of course.)

I downloaded an app that would have me click it _before_ entering my PW in such a site and the PW would henceforth be saved nicely.

Where can I find that app for my new hard drive?

Thank you.

I think 1 Password is a popular program - https://agilebits.com/onepassword You can also look for some with Google - https://www.google.com/search?q=password+managers

Thanks. I may do that - if it will handle all the "secure" passwords that FF can't save and enter, it would likely be a good idea for me.

But the one I was looking for was a very simple app that only changed a 0 to a 1, one page request at a time. No pw management at all.

Websites may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.
