I have many tabs opened in my Firefox for Android. The indicator constantly shows thw infinity sign and I am not even able to close them because even expanding the list of old tabs takes ages and so does closing a single one of them. I guess there could be 200-400 opened tabs, however, Firefox only lists a few (20-40?) most recent ones as active.

The problem I want to report arises whenever I open a few tens of new tabs. I typically do that when searching for a particular thing, e.g., when reading through detailed descriptions of various product alternatives in an e-shop. I would open up multiple listings in new tabs and close them later on one by one when narrowing my shopping choices. BUT it seems that after opening up 10 or 20 tabs, Firefox stops workong correctly. First, saving a webpage to PDF stops working (I do that to send an article to my e-book reader) - the status bar in the notification entry just keeps rolling on and on and it never really starts downloading the webpage. Then, webpages may stop responding to some touch events or may be rendered incomplete (half of the screen blank - either white or black). Later, switching to neighbouring tab does not really switch the screen content but the last state of the last tab stays displayed. And finally, when switching tabs once more, Firefox erases all content of its interface incl. text in the URL bar and becomes unresponsive to any user input. The worst of all is that after killing the process from Android settings->Apps, the forementioned 10-20 recently opened tabs are gone, as if I had never even accessed those. Not even a listing in history, nothing.

Android 8.1.0, 6 GB RAM, Cubot Power. The system statistics show I utilize 3 GB of RAM and that Firefox utilizes around 780 MB (3-hour average).

Hele pojdmě v češtině, jo?

Lukáši, máte pořád stejný problém? Kdybych byl já na vašem místě tak bych zkusil:

1. Vymazat cache v aplikaci (nachází se v systémovém nastavení) 2. Vymazat cache ve firefoxu (Menu, Nastavení, Smazat soukromá data) 3. Odinstalovat možné extensiony co mohou zpomalit systém. 4. Nainstalovat si jinou verzi Firefoxu

Doufám že pomůže
