Just installed Windows 10. When I launch Firefox, if tells me Firefox is not my default browser. After selecting "Make Default" button. (see image Make Default below) Then selecting Web Browser in the Setting > System > Default apps menu, in the "Choose an app" dialog box, Firefox does NOT show as a selection. How do I get Firefox to appear as a selection? THANKS.

Start Menu -> Settings -> System -> Default Apps -> Web Browser.

Click in the Web Browser Box and choose your browser from the list. Done. Your choice will not be displayed in the box, but it is done. You just can't see it.

Edge browser is linked from Cortana. However your browser should load when you click on a Web Link.

Just to be sure, you're not using Portable Firefox from Portable Apps, are you?

Portable Firefox can't be made your "default browser" because "Portable" doesn't create any Registry entries, it isn't really "installed".
