I support a local government environment. After the latest updates to firefox 25.0.1 and Java 7 update 45 we are facing a lot of difficulties accessing sites provided by the central government. In some cases the problems are solved by re-installing java or by allowing the plugins to run. In a particular case we can access the full functionality (java script links and even pics) of a site using an administrator account but cannot using a simple user. Enabling java deployment toolkit and java(tm) platform plugins for the site did not work. The computers facing the problem run Windows XP Pro + SP3.

The same issue does not appear when running google chrome...

Hello ageorgopoulos,

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. This seems like a tough issue and I hope that we can help.

  • Have you tried a hard refresh of the page with Ctrl+F5?
  • In addition have you tried seeing if there are any errors listed in the Web console Tools > Web Developers > Web Console?

Cheers, Patrick
