I was downloading a PDF converter (or so I thought) and I now have a browser called "Babylon Search" sitting on top of Firefox that I can't get rid of.

hello bdhebert45, please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software ("Browser Manager", "Bprotector", "Object Installer") from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place.

Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page

afterwards you can install the searchreset addon to switch back the most common customizations that babylon has done to the browser.
