After upgrading FF to version 4, the awesome / location bar does not display/autocomplete any history, bookmark, etc. Of course, I check the settings and they are OK (when using location bar, suggest history and bookmarks). And I'm not talking about my previous FF3 history, but also the new history is not showing.

I upgraded from one of the latest 3 version, in Mac OS X 10.5.8

Chosen solution

This is still an issue with Firefox 8.0.1 on all versions of OSX 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7 when using NFSv3, NFSv4, and AFP home directories. This has been an issue for all versions of Firefox >= 4. For some reason, the Awesome bar works in the latest versions of the Firefox 3 series. We don't want to rely on that because we don't know when you will stop updating it.

Hi. I had the same problem. Go to the firefox/addons and see the extensions, plugins or themes that are indicating they are not compatible with FF 4. Disable them and that should enable the location bar to suggest history and bookmarks.

Ensure the incompatibility check is enabled.

It worked for me.

Thanks waach, but unfortunately it didn't work. I tried disabling all addons. Something I didn't put in my bug report is that my home folder is mounted from a nfs.

That wasn't a solution, it was a complaint.
