I want to limit the number of web sites my 10 year old can visit. Do you provide a way to list only those allowed sites?

Firefox has no built-in parental control feature. There are some add-ons that can add parental control features, but add-ons are quite easy to bypass. For a selection of add-ons see this search result on the add-ons site - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=parental+control

One option is to use the K9 Web protection which is a free parental control program - http://www.k9webprotection.com/

Another option is to use the free OpenDNS family shield to block sites, for details see http://www.opendns.com/familyshield
