It keeps asking me to save a password and doesn't give the option to "never save"

I tried making this site an exception to saved passwords, but it still asks.. it's Driving. Me. Crazy.

There is a small arrow between the two choices (Don't Save and Save) that Firefox shows by default. If you click this arrow then you see the choice "Never Save".

Make sure that you keep the Site Preferences.

  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
