After upgrading to version 52.1.0 lost one of my 6 email account folders

more options

After upgrading to 52.1.0 lost one of my 6 email folders. Previous version if I remember well was 45. The problem is that this folder is the most used email account with all the inbox and sent messages. I have a backup but is over 1 year old. OS: win7 32bit

Any ideas how to get back the missing folder?

The inbox messages are also in another pc, but I am still missing all the sent messages (more than a thousand).

Any ideas also how can I transfer the inbox messages if there will be no solution?

Thanks

Are you talking about a pop or imap mail account?

if imap, right click on imap mail account in fodler Pane and select 'Subscribe' is folder in list , if yes, select line for folder and click on 'Subscribe' click on OK

If pop: Is the folder still in your Profile ?

Make hidden files and folders visible:

In Thunderbird

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • click on 'Open Folder' button

a new window opens showing profile name contents.

  • Click on 'Mail' folder
  • click on pop mail account name

Can you see the name of the folder as a file with no extension and also a file with .msf extension? If it was a subfolder of eg: 'Inbox' click on 'Inbox.sbd' folder Can you the files with same name as missing folder?

It is a POP account.

Yes, I can see the the name of the folder both with .msf extension and as a plain folder.

I can see also the account when I open the "account settings" .

But I cant see it in all folders.

How can I make it appear again?

I rolled back to v. 45.8.0

All of a sudden the folder appeared as before.

I think that might be a problem with the new release 52.1

Thanks anyway Toad
