I've recently moved from Android to iPhone 7 / IOS 10.x . I get a lot of pop-ups and ads on iPhone that I never saw on Android phone using Firefox. Can I block pop-ups and ads in FIrefox on iPhone?

That's a tricky question. We have the Focus addon that blocks trackers and web fonts. This dramatically speeds up page loads and protects your privacy. In some cases, I believe it can disrupt the display of ads depending on which tracker is blocked. You can read more about it here: https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/12/08/announcing-focus-by-firefox-a-content-blocker-for-ios/

And since Apple forces us to use Safari's browser engine to render web content, I believe installing this addon will allow Firefox to use it as well: https://adblockplus.org/blog/adblock-plus-for-ios-9-finally-here-and-pssst-it-s-free

I could be wrong about that so do some testing to see if there's any difference. But unfortunately, there is not a true ad blocker that I can find for Firefox iOS yet but I believe one is definitely on the way. :)
