I do not see responses from Mozilla about resolving the cookie issue. How do I enable it in a Windows platform. l have lost several hours of typed material because of it. Where is 'preferences' found? If your 'open-menu' is the same thing others refer to as 'drop down menu', then I see no 'preferences' .

Hi, go to Options (cog wheel) - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it > Privacy - Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track.

Options is also known as Preferences! Sorry if that has caused confusion.
