App tries to send mail via Thunderbird, "PostMail error# 2" is shown. All my collegues with the same installation do not have this problem. Thanks for your time

An application on my pc (Win 7- 32 bit) tries to send an email via Thunderbird. My collegues have the same setup, they have no problem. Every time i try to send an email (via a different application) i get a message box, roughly translated it says: "Something went wrong with PostMail, error number 2". Does anyone have any idea?
