Ladies and Gentlemen, since 25 June some emails in my inbox will be deleted overnight, without my intervention. It's happened several times already. Last it is happend on 29 july. i get 11 emails from the email-adress: noreply@pflegeboerse.at and a few hours after receiving them, only 3 of these emails were left in the inbox. I have not changed anything in the settings, nor have I deleted this email myself. This must not happen and I urgently ask for your help and solution to the problem. Best regards. Michael

Does anyone know how do I can get my feeds back? I hope all my saved feeds are still stored somewhere as I use them for research. I just went to look something up and the whole heading is totally gone!

I'm running Thunderbird 129 (beta) on Win10. Long time user & fan of TB...

Currently, right-clicking on Properties or Compact for any folder won't launch/start anything in my TB. Any clue ? Many thanks !

Bit of context: . I'm running numerous accounts and folders; . here, I wanted to compact some folders to bring some hygiene to my mail boxes; . I've been running huge Inboxes (10ks of emails, Inbox file of several GBs... I know, this is BAD ! sorry...) . some of my folders are starting to show corruption symptoms (dates 1970, rubbish text in preview, nstmp folders...) . my TB is parametered to compact when 200MB are saved (though I doubt it actually does) . I used to have msgs requiring me to compact folders, but don't seem to have them any more (maybe the system got tired with my ignoring it ;)

I have read different threads about Compacting (Complications, workaround, Compacting folders...) and folders, but didn't found any solution/workaround. note: I haven't seen any post reporting this specific issue (right-click menu opens, but functionnalities there -such as Properties or Compact- seem inactive or somehow dis-activated).

I tried disactivating any download, and moved huge nstmp files out of the TB folders (trying to make them somewhat lighter).

Titles of new emails appear in Inbox. Cannot open them. This problem only appeared as of today. Strangely, the last one, the code sent by Mozilla to create my account, opened normally.

Thunderbird will not let me access my email inbox without a password., I have windows 10, I have a new Mozilla password and a new Recovery Key code. My email goes through yahoo.com. The request I get is L0gin to my account failed. "Login in server imap.mail.yahoo.com with username martyhhtexas@att.net failed." I been trying to correct for over a month and I'm completely baffled on how to get access to my email through Thunderbird. I've used Thunderbird as my only source of email for around 2 decades . can anyone help me. I can access my emails through Yahoo.com but its a hassle, I miss my Thunderbird, Frustrated HELP......

In a recent upgrade the Thunderbird UI changed and now very hard to read UI when viewing an individual message or attempting to write a new message. Background color and text color are identical or nearly so. I've attached how it looks.

I've played around with settings extensively to try and fix, but there is no setting that enables me to control the color of the UI itself.

On attempting to forward or even send emails, I get the following pop up message on trying to send. Some years ago I had an Outlook email address on Thunderbird but removed it. At that time, sending or forwarding emails wasn't affected and wasn't until recently.I still receive emails ok. The message is as follows: 'Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: This email was not sent but there is a way to fix it. To resend successfully you need to update your email settings (e.g. Outlook) to turn SMTP authentication on. I can't understand how to get it to work when I get the emails from the online account and they are in Thunderbird, if I go into Thunderbird they are visible to anyone who would go in! Even if the person does not know my email password, they can just cancel out of the password box and all the emails stored on computer are available!

Also, I read some online post saying that Thunderbird does not store the emails in any encrypted way on the computer!

Multiple people can use a computer, or the user may be wary of whatever kind of access somehow, simply want it secured.

Is there no way for Thunderbird to do this after so many years? An extension or anything? I want to back up email account from online account, store on computer in secure private way but this program seems against that!?

A new Thunderbird icon appeared on my Windows desktop. I unpinned the icon in the bottom pop up bar, and dragged the new icon to the bar. When I clicked on the icon, Thunderbird ran me through a new account set up routine, and when I got through that, all of the local folders - in which I had stored a virtual library of emails from different sources that I use for reference and education - had disappeared. No, I do not have a current backup of the folders... Is there some other way to retrieve these, or are they simply gone forever? Thanks for your input, Jeff

None of my drop down menu's show options or preferences . The other solutions I have read usually say go to options first but I don't have this. Clicking the 3 bars on the right hand side does not show them. Ultimately I am trying to get my unread emails to list in bold.

After updating Windows 11 machine to Thunderbird Nebula, I am asked for a password when trying to subscribe a public nextcloud network calendar. I have installed this same calendar dozens of times on our school staff's desktops, so I know how to do it. I am pretty sure the upgrade broke it.

Hi, My instance of Thunderbird keeps crashing. I've tried emptying the startup cache, troubleshooter mode, reboot windows, turn off anti-virus. Nothing seems to work. It freezes sometimes and needs to be killed, but most times it crashes, sometimes right upon startup. I am not sure how to debug. Thank you! -D

OK, this is really complicated, and involves trying to rescue an old Eudora account to Thunderbird. If anyone wants the whole gory story, please ask and I'll tell all. ( I used Eudora Mailbox Cleaner and Eudora Rescue.) But the simple question is: is it possible to import a Thunderbird profile created on a Mac into a Thunderbird program on a PC? Thanks for any help.

My desktop lost power, I went to restart and opened Thunderbird. I think it went to an updated version. The usual page that I had to confirm and enter password were not there, at least I didn't see it anyway. I noticed a tab for "create new account". So I did that, which it opened all new emails, but my old ones were gone and I don't have any of them saved to a folder. Is there a way to migrate the old emails to the new account? Thanks in advance
