Everytime I start Firefox, a window comes up telling me to install REGANAM toolbar. I don't want to install it, but can't seem to avoid the prompt. I have gone into the Control Panel of Windows Vista and uninstalled the program, but the prompt lives on.

1. In your browser menu, select Tools > Add-ons.

  2. Make sure the Extensions tab is selected.
  3. Select the Reganam toolbar.
  4. Click the Uninstall button.

The REGANAM Toolbar isn't on the Extensions list. That doesn't seem to stop the prompt, however. Still comes up every time I start Firefox.

See :

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required. You may also need to remove the staged-xpis folder in the extensions folder.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button (in Firefox 4: right-click the extension -> "Find Updates") to do a compatibility check.

You may also need to Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window.
