Firefox very often crashes on exit. It's been doing it for some time now, but am not sure exactly when it started.

I have updated to the latest version 113.0.2 (64 bit), am on Windows 10 which is also up to date. I have tried clearing the cache.

Thank you. I didn't have Firefox set to clear history on closure but weirdly the advice in https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1375818 (which seems to be similar to what you say) worked.

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes", try to disable this feature.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
