I have been experiencing ? and ! marks being "Typed" into the address and search bars. I cannot stop it, I have changed keyboards thinking there might be something wrong with the keyboard. No longer blue tooth, now wired. Also just received and intrusion attack from www.gooiglemaps.club/ with the following comment "The attack was resulted from \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME4\PROGRAMFILES\ MOZILLA FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE." This popped up in the middle of typing an address for facebook. I am more concerned about the uncontrolled entries of ? and !

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
