Cannot auto start Thunderbird in Windows 10

Thunderbird is the only program that does not auto start for me regardless of adding it to the startup group or the run registry setting.

This is happening because on my system Thunderbird loads before other Windows processes that Thunderbird requires.

But I have a workaround using a free startup delay program called Startup Delayer.

This is a bug in Thunderbird as it does not wait for some process to be ready before starting up. Depending on the speed of your system, you may not see this issue. But if you do, the workaround will remedy the problem until Mozilla can fix it.

Thunderbird startup is very IO intensive and so doesn't play well if you start under high IO contention, like during Windows startup.

Also, I don't know of any bugs being reported about "wait for some process". So don't hold your breath of getting your issue fixed, unless you report it.
