Deletes more emails than selected.

Not sure why but all of a sudden when I try to delete only one email from my Inbox several will be deleted at once to Trash. And when I go to Trash to get those emails that were deleted yet not read I have to be very careful or they will just disappear when I click to delete another one. This is very frustrating and I don't know how to stop it.

Any help or advice that any can give me is most appreciated.

try clicking to select the mail and then pressing the delete key on your keyboard. Better?
