I have had to clean install Win & Pro 64bit on to my computer. I thought< you know what thought did, I had safely saved my address book but I didn't. I need to migrate/import my Gmail address book to Thunderbird. How do I do this? Thanks in advance for the answer.

You could go too the Gmail website and export your address book to csv file, then import that csv file into Thunderbird's address book.

Alternatively, you could try one of several extensions to synchronise your Thunderbird address book with the Gmail address book. I use gContactSync; there is another called Google Contacts. Both have their own foibles, since there are fundamental mismatches between the two address books (and this affects the csv file import too.) Either of these add-ons will create a new address book within the Thunderbird address book and permit changes in either Thunderbird or Gmail to be reflected in the other.
