Just upgraded to FF4. When I close my browser with multiple tabs open, it is not asking nor saving my tabs. I have tried the steps that I ran across when I searched. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

I recently upgraded to FF4. I typically have multiple tabs open and save them when I close FF. It is no longer saving nor asking me to save. I tried the steps such as starting FF in safe mode, changing sessions.js to sessions.bak.js, etc. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

I have this same problem. In Options -> General, I have it set to "Show my tabs and windows from last time", but it doesn't at all. Even with the 3 preferences set to "true", I get no warning and only my homepage when starting Firefox.

ETA: Solved - tab saving doesn't work if you have FF set to clear history on exit, probably having to do with FF attaching history items to tab ID's. Turned off "clear history on exit", tabs are saving fine now.

The prefs for the warning message have been set to false as the default in Firefox 4 .

You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.

   * browser.tabs.warnOnClose , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
   * browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
   * browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart

I have those set to true. It is warning me when I close. The problem is that it is not saving my tabs that were open. FF3 used to ask me whether I wanted to save them or not.

I've tried the solutions on here and on the Firefox recommended solutions.

Changed the file names and restarted. Nope.

Checked the about:config settings. Restarted Nope.

Checked the Options-->General. Restarted. Nope. On this one, the options are not showing a choice for "Show my tabs and windows from last time."

Checked Options-->Privacy-->Use Custom Settings for History. The box to clear history when Firefox is closed is NOT checked. Also, the other options to remember history ARE checked.

I'm irritated by the Firefox updates. They update and half of my extensions no longer work. And, these bugs crop up. This happened with the 3 update, too.

Set to "true" this parameter - "browser.showQuitWarning" in about:config
