Thunderbird taken 15-20 seconds to start up.

Also - this may be related or not so I'll ask twice.

When I try and delete an email get the message "The folder Trash is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages, delete any old or unwanted mail and compact the folder." What I then do is move the message to trash which works. I have removed large number of email from trash so there should be room.

Chosen solution

15-20 seconds is not necessarily slow.

Does it reproduce with Thunderbird safe mode and windows safe mode?

The speed problem is ok now. To solve the trash problem I deleted the trash folder and created a new one.
