Firefox hangs when I go to a page, type a page in, it takes about 5 mins before I can use it again but then I click on something and it hangs again. Tried installing an older version but it does the same thing as the new version.

hello Fairhall, please stick with the latest version and try to reset the browser (this will keep your bookmarks & passwords): Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2/yB/r/L58NUI3tspU.js:25

Just go this error message when I went to support page. Have installed new version and reset but still get same problem.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

You can also check for problems with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.

Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Another possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
